February is American Heart Month

February is American heart month. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women, but heart disease is preventable and controllable. This statement is discouraging, but encouraging at the same time.

It reminded me of how excited I get about Prayer Zone Workout for the Heart because it focuses on the health of our physical hearts as well as the health of our spiritual hearts—it could also be said that heart disease is the leading cause of spiritual death for both men and women, and that spiritual heart disease is preventable and controllable.

So, with heart month in mind, I want to urge you to get moving and praying.

Start with a simple aerobic exercise routine such as walking. Regular exercise is one of the recommendations for preventing heart disease made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. If needed, check with your doctor before you begin any exercise.

Use the prayer exercises in Prayer Zone Workout for the Heart while you exercise. There are 40 prayer exercises in the book. Each exercise is 5 minutes long. You can mix and match the prayer exercises to fit your physical routine and its duration.

A condensed version of the prayer exercises is available on this web site free of charge for you to print and use while you workout.

You can also download the Prayer Zone Workout app for your Android or iPhone and use the prayer exercises from there.

Please pass on this information to friends and family members who would find Prayer Zone Workout for the Heart helpful for improving physical and spiritual heart health.
