God’s gift of salvation prayer exercise
Five minutes of exercise:
Spend the next few minutes reflecting on God’s free gift of salvation and what it means to you.
A word from scripture:
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—
and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.
Ephesians 2:8 (NIV)
Meditation guidance:
1. Reflect on God’s gift. Meditate on these scriptures:
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16 (NLT)
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him.
John 3:17 (NIV)
2. Respond to God and his gift.
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and
believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Romans 10:9-10 (NIV)
3. Reflect on your response and the difference this will make in your day-to-day living.
Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
Luke 7:50 (NIV)
